Color Outside was created as a safe place for women of color to come together and create unapologetic, soul stirring lives through outdoor adventures.
We believe that reconnecting with nature in a safe, supportive environment is the perfect vehicle to feeling whole, full, and good. And all of us deserve to embrace those feelings of wellness.
Getting outdoors allows us to connect with the natural world, connect with our ancestors, connect with one another, and reconnect with our authentic selves. There's something powerful about taking up space, particularly in spaces that are not traditionally "for us."
At Color Outside, we've seen firsthand the power of community, adventure, and targeted value-filled education to help create purpose-filled and joyful lives. We're excited to spread that joy and build our in-person community with Color Outside Ambassadors!

Capital 'R' Respect. We have the utmost respect for ourselves, for one another and for the natural world around us.
Support. We're here for each other -- both on the trails and off. No one gets left behind. No one feels excluded.
No apologies. We accept everyone exactly where they are. There's no need to apologize for being too slow or too fast or too "out of shape." Just be you.
A sense of adventure. Adventure means different things to different people. For us it means approaching life with an open mind, curiosity and a willingness to try.
WOC Centered. We're welcoming to all women from all backgrounds but the experiences, thoughts, concerns, and voices of women of color will always be at the forefront and will absolutely be centered.

I'm Nailah Blades Wylie, your adventure coach! I started Color Outside as a safe place for women of color to come together and create unapologetic, soul stirring lives through outdoor adventures.
I'm not just your run of the mill life coach. I'm a communications strategist and community builder who has worked with start-ups, fortune 500 companies, authors and individuals to create thriving, inclusive communities both online and off. My expertise is being able to parse through the muck and get to the heart of what make a person or brand special. I'm an expert of pulling out your secret sauce and teaching you how to best use it.
I 100% understand the frustration of feeling like you're spinning your wheels. I know how it is to feel completely disconnected from who you are at your core — to feel listless, bored and stuck. But I've also seen firsthand the power of finding community, adventure, and targeted value-filled education to help you create a purpose-filled and joyful life.
