Our training has two layers:
LAYER ONE
Stepping into Your Playing Bigger
Inside of you, there is a longing to play bigger. A longing to speak up more, to make a career change, to share your story, or to reach more people with your work.
In the Playing Big Facilitators Training, you’ll get the tools and support to play bigger in your work and life – starting now. Our participants experience amazing results: Entrepreneurs launch or grow their businesses. Women working inside organizations take on more fulfilling roles, and share their voices more boldly.
You’ll learn how to quiet self-doubt, move through fear, let go of over-preparing and perfectionism, uncover your own wisdom, and much more – through the proven Playing Big model – with live coaching, teaching, and support from me every week.
LAYER TWO
Empowering Women & Girls to Play Bigger
Imagine: What if you knew just what to say – and what to do – when a brilliant woman in your life was mired in self-criticism? What if you knew how to help her move past a fear? What if, within a few minutes of asking a few key questions, you could help her access her own unfailing inner wisdom?
It’s possible. Over the past decade, the thousands of women who experience the Playing Big tools report that as a result they 1) feel more confident 2) share their unique ideas more boldly 3) can more easily access their inner wisdom and 4) are playing bigger in their work.

"You all don't look like the regular hikers we see up here. Where are you from?"
At first glance, the question may seem innocent enough. But most women of color have experienced these innocuous inquiries, questioning whether or not we belong. In my case, this came from an elderly gentlemen my family met while exploring the mountains near out new home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He couldn't quite wrap his head around the fact that we might be a family of Utahns who loved hiking, much like himself. He peppered us with questions until he got to an answer that made sense — that placed us in the right box.
BURN THE BOX
How often have you felt that way as a high achieving women of color? Like you're trying to fit yourself into someone else's right box. I started Color Outside because I saw firsthand the power of outdoor adventures in helping entrepreneurial women of color create more expansive, whole, joy-filled lives.
- I've helped burnt out women entrepreneurs reconnect with themselves and rediscover what lights them up and makes them feel full.
- I've helped stuck business owners tune into nature and fine tune their business mission so that they can have more of an impact.

OUR BIGGER MISSION
Brilliant women holding back, underestimating themselves and not trusting their voices — this has to end.
It has to end because the world needs our contributions, our wisdom, our sanity.
When I take a look at the headlines, or watch a few minutes of the news, I’m struck by how the people in charge in our world don’t have the emotional intelligence, the wisdom, or the ethical integrity to use the power they have for good.
I want brilliant, visionary, compassionate, ethical, wise women I know to be alongside men, leading and holding power — because they are going to bring our world into balance and sanity. That’s why I do this work.
Women like us playing big — we are going to change the world.
We could call Playing Big a course or a program, but it is really a movement. Join us.
