I was talking to a friend the other day who relayed how during her childhood she absolutely hated being outdoors; preferring to reading a book in her room.
Today as a woman in her late 30’s, her favorite way to spend a day is on a hike or kayaking.
Last week, she pushed herself to learn the Metro system, as she just moved to the Washington D.C. area.
She admitted the first (few) times of trying these new things, there was certainly a level of fear involved.
“Instead of giving into the fear of what could happen, I just said to myself- ‘It’s an adventure. I’ll be okay no matter what.”
Such a small yet powerful statement that can shift your perspective and help you overcome a barriers and blocks you didn’t know existed.
Besides, everything becomes more fun when it’s an adventure.
You’re more likely to loosen up, enjoy, and see just how it all plays out when you embrace new opportunities as an adventure.
My social media timelines are full of friends ready for all things Fall.
So my question to you is, what adventures will you have this next season?
