You’ve probably heard the term “mindfulness” thrown around a lot, but what does it mean for you?
Practicing mindfulness is about being focused on the present moment. You’re not being pulled into the past, you’re not worried about the future, you’re not running through your mental list of to-dos. You’re simply being in the moment, which can be a lot tougher than it sounds!
Getting outside is one helpful way to bring yourself into that mindful, meditative state. The next time you’re outdoors, you can practice being mindful by simply noticing things. Notice what you hear, see, feel, and smell. Slow down and deeply focus on a few things at a time.
How else can you be more mindful in your life?
